I rode a 2009 Buell 1125CR over the weekend. Did Buell finally get it right? Maybe just maybe....

The last time I rode a Buell I was  less the impressed. But that was a long long time ago. I hoped on the 2009 Buell 1125CR over the weekend and I got to admit.... I liked it!

   
Here's what I liked:

- Usable powerband

- Good brakes

- Flickablitiy

- Uniqueness

Here's what was not so liked:

- Way forward body position (have to look down to see gauges)

- Styling is questionable (for me)


In any case, I highly recommend test riding one. You might be surprised what a nice bike the Buell 1125CR is.

1. I know there are a few riders out there that also write reviews, you all cann't realy hate this bike? I've owned and riden many bikes over my 30 yrs riding for fun and relaxation. Turning the throttle and hanging on tight for the thrill and proving to myself how much fun I could take in speed:) This new Buell is a crown in Eric Buells lineup, not just because it's a USA bike, it's earned it's own way. Yes it can be improved, that's what aftermarket stuff is for. But out of the box it's a great handling, fast & torquey bike. I will keep mine for the thrill and for our summer time heat in Texas, but if you didn't get a chance to ride one, you will be disappointed in yourself later. In person is the only way you can judge any bike and a quick ride will tell the story for anyone looking for the right bike to ride. Don't take anyones word over your own feel of the bike, how it sit, feels when you grab the handlebars, where your legs go? It's all feel!!!
