One of the most important mods I should have installed straight away is a tank pad protector, but for some reason I neglected it.
Well, I have one in my hands now, and it's going on tonight. Luckily there hasn't really been much damage done to the tank...or least nothing that can't be fixed with a little Jimmy Buffing. But a lot of random people throw a leg over different bikes here, so it's better to be safe than sorry.
This tank pad is a custom job from Immortal Graphix, and you can have your own design too if you want the place you snuggle up against to be extra special. Chances are Immortal Graphix will probably have something that will suit you in stock, but if not you can design your own. They start at about 30 bucks, so it's not a bad price to preserve your tank.
