Just Need to Vent!

Arai Corsair V Edwards Helmet

A wise man from Arai gave me some advice about helmet ventilation...

He explained that one of Arai's numerous innovations was to incorporate exhaust vents as part of the overall venting system. That's cool, but do they really work?

I've experimented with some other helmets' vents before but couldn't really distinguish much difference. I'm happy to say the Arai vents are noticeable and do their job, however.

But how can you really tell they work?

Last night I rode home with my gorgeous new Arai Corsair V Edwards replica helmet and tried what he said—only open the rear exhaust vents. Instantly I could feel cold spots on either side of my head which soon spread forward. Then I doubled up and opened the front—whoosh—more airflow still!

OK so maybe it's a tad geeky, but I overheat pretty easily and got excited when the air started pumping through.
