In case you haven't been following along with my R6 build in the magazine I set out some months ago to create a budget brawler. No high-buck full-systems and race hardware here, instead I've tried to maximize the buck wherever possible...

...as such I decided a Competition Werkes slip-on, Two Bros Juice Box and a BMC Race air filter would be my weapons of choice for more power. Instead of dropping $1,000+ I was hoping to see significant gains for about $500...and I most certainly did!

I baselined around 100 HP and 40 LB-FT at the wheel.

The slip-on gave me about 1 HP, the Juice Box added another 4 HP and the BMC filter gave me another 1 HP for a total of 6 HP and 2 LB-FT at the rear wheel. BTW, 6 HP out of simple bolt-ons for a 600 is huge and it's immediately noticeable, this thing rips!

Here's the graphs, but check out the Oct. '09 issue for the full scoop!
