 So I had to run an errand and took a 2009 Suzuki TU250X for a spin.

 Wow. That's a small bike. I haven't rode a bike that slow in a long time.

PROS: Great in town from city light to city light. It's nimble and has enough torque to move between cars. They claim an astonishing 82mpg!!

CONS: Tops out at 75 mph at WOT!

Overall, I think it's the perfect bike to learn to ride on or an in town gas saver.
