So while I had to drive in this morning, when I stopped for some gas I saw a rookie trying to fill his bike up. Needless to say, he was spilling gas all over the tank and himself so I...
walked over and asked if he needed help. When he declined I explained that I road bikes and that unless anyone shows you how to properly fill'er up you'll be stuck where he is.
Eventually he chilled out and I showed him a few tricks my ol' man showed me when I first started riding.
One that I always use is removing one of my gloves and laying it on the tank (between the filler hole and my chest) so that I don't scratch the tank with the nozzle or spill gas when I remove it.
Got any gas-filling tips you can share?
