Well I found out the hard way a couple things about my Triumph Daytona 675's fuel consumption.
For one, the tank isn't 4.6 gallons as the Web site suggests. It's actually 3.9 or 4. I don't know exactly because after running out of gas at 163 miles I put a few ounces in it to get me to the gas station. It was literally about 8 ounces of fuel, yet the pump registered 3.9 gallons to top up.
The other thing I learned? Don't push your luck. The gas light comes on for a reason!
Here's my bike stuck on the side of the freeway with a bone dry gas tank. Note the nice incline I had to push it up to get to the off ramp!
