Loud Pipes Save Lives...

 I recently removed the quiet insert tip in my Two Brothers Racing slip-on exhaust (the yellow port inside the exhaust tip in the pic). I think it sounds terrific, especially around town.

But most of my commute is spent droning along on the freeway at about 7-8000 RPM—that happens to be where this pipe is its loudest.

So I guess I'm going to put the quiet tip back in and save my ears the abuse.

Does your exhaust have a removable baffle? Do you use it or did you yank it?

1. I'd remove it just so i can sit next to people in traffic that insist on using their cell phones while driving. 11000rpms will get anybody's attention no matter what they're doing.

2. hahaha word stunnin. some *** just a couple days ago was in a big full size truck talkin on the cell phone and never checked up, i was right beside her and she came all the way over in my lane and i almost had to eat up the ditch before that *** seen me and snatched it back over.

3. i know how it feels too. I was on my way to Dallas on I-20 and am passing a woman in a van at a decent speed when she starts veering into my lane without looking or signaling. I ended up on the sleeper lane and had to speed up while almost in the grass to get up to her window so she could see what she had done. I was screaming at her through my helmet as she finally saw me about a foot from her drivers side door nearly driving in the ditch along side her before she finally moved back over so i could get into a proper lane. At the time my bike was the yelow in my picture, I had the wiki helmet which is fairly noticeable, and 12k HID's. How the *** am I still not being noticed?!?!?!

5. people look me square in the face and pull out or cut me off anyways. my pipe is loud on my 250, but it doesn't matter.
