Schwarzenegger tells motorcyclists to pipe down, signs noise bill

 Sadly SB435 Pavley that will require all motorcycles 2013 and newer to have EPA compliant pipes was signed into office by our Governor...

 ...this means that you can be ticketed while riding or even when the bike is parked if it doesn't have EPA compliant pipes...and by the way, no aftermarket pipe is EPA compliant nor will it be since that takes serious money to do so. Ultimately you know what that means, if you have an aftermarket pipe you can get popped. You might not get pulled over if you have a quiet pipe, but the power is now in the law enforcement's hands.

Exhaust laws have been in effect since the 70s, but there were no ground rules to enforce it...now there is.
