Yay or Nay?

  What do you think of this 2011 Yamaha R1's graphics?

 While they have more traditional options, this one clearly seems aimed at a younger demographic.

Did Yamaha hit the mark or totally miss it?

I think it's cool, and I'm not usually into skulls/tribal paint schemes.

1. It will appeal to the younger demo very well. Not for me, but well done. Kind of like the Phoenix rising graphic on the CBR600RR a couple years ago, but thought out better since it does not roll up to the tank where it would be cleared over. So it's easy enough to remove should one's graphic tastes change. Unlike all those checkered custom boats from the 90s...

2. i like it, but i dont think it should be offered as the stock package. atleast make it a special order item so not every random wannabe has the same bike graphic

3. yeah Stunnin has a good point. make it just a few bucks more ($250?) and it would weed out a lot who would just get a blue one or whatever instead. then there'd be a little bit of exclusivity to it.
Oh well—i'm sure Yamaha just wants to move units however it can!
