How far will you go to make an aftermarket part fit?

We're currently modding a 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 for a feature, but because there are very few parts available for it we've had to cut, chop and rebuild in a couple spots.

It's coming along nicely too.

So the question is, will you pull out a hacksaw, drill or cutting tool to make something fit, even if it wasn't exactly designed for your bike but you think it'll look good?
