Ducati Streetfighter Cool Clutch Mods

Ducati Streetfighter Project Bike, White Lightning

It's been a while since I've ran Web updates on my Streetfighter project bike and I thought I might wrap-up the week by sharing my progress.

Since I last check in, I've added a ton of parts, but this time around I'd like to highlight the Ducati Performance Accessories open clutch cover and vented pressure plate.

Since I unfortunately have the pleasure of spending most of my miles in traffic, I eventually found the limits of the stock clutch setup. After many miles of lane-splitting in the hot weather, the stock clutch setup would groan, moan and shutter like no other!

To combat these symptoms I decided an open clutch cover and vented plate would do the trick, and they did! Clutch take-up is much more consistent in high-heat rides and rarely does it shutter and snatch anymore.

In addition to solving my problems, the billet combo looks GREAT on the Duc and lets the world know I'm on a Ducati with a dry clutch. I love the "clack, clack, clack" sounds it makes!

Truthfully, it's a little loud at times, but I try and be mindful when motorists have their windows down.
